There is no UC Browser Turbo for PC, and the Android app itself is abandoned. UC Turbo still sits on Google Play, but UCWeb last updated it in October 2021, and India banned UCWeb apps back in 2020. Our advice is to skip it and use a modern browser with built-in ad blocking instead.

What happened to UC Browser Turbo
UC Turbo launched in 2019 as a lighter, cleaner spin-off of UC Browser: fast downloads, ad blocking, less clutter. It picked up over 50 million installs quickly, which is why so many people still search for a PC version of it today.
Then two things happened. In June 2020, India banned UC Browser and other UCWeb apps on data and privacy grounds, cutting the app off from its biggest market. And after October 27, 2021, UCWeb simply stopped updating UC Turbo. The Google Play listing is still live in most regions, but it has now gone almost five years without a single patch. UCWeb’s attention moved back to the main UC Browser, which we cover separately in our UC Browser for PC guide.
UC Turbo or UC Browser: which one do you actually mean?
A lot of searches mix the two apps up, so it is worth separating them. UC Browser is the main product: the full-featured mobile browser with the download manager and the huge install base, and the one that historically also had a Windows desktop build. UC Turbo was the 2019 spin-off: smaller, faster, ad blocking on by default, aimed at people who found the main app bloated. If what you remember is the classic UC experience on a computer, the page you want is our UC Browser for PC guide linked above, which covers where that app stands today. If what you want is specifically Turbo, the rest of this page has the honest answer: it was mobile-only, and it is no longer maintained anywhere.
Why a browser with no updates is a real problem
For most app categories, an old but working app is a minor annoyance. For a web browser it is a genuine security risk. Browsers are the single most attacked type of software you run: they execute code from every site you visit, and browser engines get critical security fixes monthly for a reason. A browser frozen in 2021 is missing years of those fixes. Whatever speed or data savings UC Turbo once offered, that trade is no longer worth it in 2026.
Can you still run UC Turbo on a PC?
Technically, yes. Because the Play listing is still live, an Android emulator such as BlueStacks can install it: set up BlueStacks on Windows 10 or 11, sign in with a Google account, search Play for UC Turbo, and install. It will open and browse.
We are describing that for completeness, not recommending it. You would be running an unpatched 2021 browser inside an extra software layer, on the open web. There is also no UC Turbo APK we will link to: the app was free on Play, so anything an APK mirror adds is risk, not value. If you want UC Turbo’s actual selling points on a PC (speed, ad blocking, small footprint), a desktop browser does it better and safer.
What to use instead on Windows
UC Turbo’s pitch was fast browsing with ads blocked and data saved. On a Windows PC, three current browsers cover that pitch properly:
Brave is the closest match in spirit: ad and tracker blocking on by default, noticeably fast on modest hardware, Chromium-based so every site works.
Opera ships a built-in ad blocker and a free built-in VPN, and its interface will feel familiar to former UC users.
Microsoft Edge is already on your Windows 10 or 11 machine, gets patched constantly, and its efficiency mode is kind to older laptops.
All three are free, actively maintained, and available from their official sites or the Microsoft Store. If you are curious how other once-popular mobile browsers ended up in the same place, our CM Browser for PC page tells a very similar story, and the utility apps for PC hub lists tools that are still alive and worth installing.
Frequently asked questions
Is UC Turbo available for PC on Windows 10 or Windows 11?
No. UCWeb never released UC Browser Turbo for Windows. Any site offering a UC Turbo exe or a UC Turbo for PC free download is repackaging the Android app or bundling something else. The only technical route is an Android emulator, and we do not recommend it for an unmaintained browser.
Is UC Browser Turbo still being updated?
No. The last update on Google Play was October 27, 2021. The listing remains online with 50 million plus installs, but the app has been effectively abandoned by UCWeb for years.
Where can I download the UC Turbo APK?
We do not link APK mirrors, and this is a case where they are a particularly bad idea: an outdated browser from a third-party source combines two separate security risks. If you must see the app, the official Google Play listing is the only source worth trusting.
Is there a UC Browser for PC free download that is official?
That is a different app with its own history, covered in our UC Browser for PC guide. Whatever you choose there, apply the same test we applied here: is the build current, and is the source official? If either answer is no, pick a maintained browser instead.
What is the best replacement for UC Turbo on a computer?
Brave if you want default ad blocking, Opera if you want the built-in extras, or Edge if you want zero setup on Windows. All three deliver what UC Turbo promised, with current security patches.
Verdict
UC Browser Turbo was a good lightweight browser in 2019, but it never had a PC version and it stopped receiving updates in 2021. Do not chase it through emulators or APK mirrors. Install Brave, Opera or Edge on your Windows machine and you get everything UC Turbo advertised, minus the security debt.

The official way to download Genymotion
There is exactly one safe place to get Genymotion: the download page on genymotion.com. Skip the mirror sites that rank for “genymotion download”. They host outdated installers, and Genymotion requires an account activation step that only works cleanly with the official build anyway.
On Windows you get two installers: one that bundles VirtualBox, the hypervisor Genymotion uses by default on Windows, and one without it for machines that already have VirtualBox installed. The macOS installer is a single universal build for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and it uses QEMU with Apple’s Hypervisor framework instead of VirtualBox. Linux gets one installer script covering Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora.
Genymobile also sells Genymotion in SaaS form: the same virtual Android devices, but running in the cloud inside a browser tab, plus images for cloud providers. That version is aimed at CI pipelines and test automation. This guide covers the Desktop product, which is the one you install on a PC.
Who Genymotion is for (and who should skip it)
Genymotion is built for developers and QA testers. Its strengths are things like 40+ ready-made device templates across Android versions, sensor simulation (GPS, battery, network profiles), ADB access out of the box, and Android Studio integration. If you need to test an app on Android 8 on a fake Galaxy and Android 14 on a fake Pixel in the same afternoon, this is the tool.
If you want to play Android games on your PC, Genymotion is the wrong pick. It has no gaming keymapping, and its free tier is deliberately limited. Use BlueStacks instead, or see our comparison of BlueStacks vs Nox for the two big gaming emulators. Our Android emulator hub sorts all the current options by use case, including discontinued ones like Andy that you should avoid.
Genymotion free version: how personal use licensing works
Genymotion Desktop is free for personal use, and no license key is involved. You download the full installer, create a Genymotion account, activate it by email, and when the app first launches you select “Personal Use”. That is the whole process.
Know the limits before you commit. The personal edition caps you at Android versions 5.0 through 15; Android 16 images need a paid license. You also lose the quick boot option, camera and media injection widgets, network profiles, and some command line tools, and there is no real support. Genymobile says plainly that the personal edition is not meant for trials or proof-of-concept work at a company. For that there is a separate 30 day trial of the paid features.
Paid plans are subscriptions: an Individual plan at $239.99 per year per computer, a Business plan at $479.99 per year per user, and a $49 per year Educational tier. Prices verified on genymotion.com in July 2026.
Install Genymotion on Windows or Mac
Download the installer from genymotion.com. On Windows, take the “with VirtualBox” build unless you already run VirtualBox.
Run the installer and reboot if VirtualBox asks for it. Make sure virtualization (Intel VT-x or AMD-V) is enabled in your BIOS, or no virtual device will boot.
Create your Genymotion account, click the activation link in the email, then sign in inside the app and choose Personal Use.
Click the + button, pick a device template and Android version, and let it download the image. First boot takes a minute; after that devices start fast.
Hardware wise, Genymobile recommends a 64-bit CPU (Intel 6th gen or newer, or AMD Ryzen), 16 GB of RAM, an OpenGL 3.3 capable GPU, and about 2 GB of disk per virtual device. Officially supported hosts are Windows 11, macOS 15 and 26, and current Ubuntu, Debian, or Fedora. Windows 10 machines are no longer a tested target now that Microsoft has ended mainstream Windows 10 support, so expect no help if something breaks there.
Frequently asked questions
Is Genymotion free to use?
Yes, for personal use. Download it from genymotion.com, create an account, and choose “Personal Use” at first launch. Some features stay locked (Android 16 images, quick boot, camera injection) and there is no support, but it is genuinely free, not a trial that expires.
How much does Genymotion cost for professional use?
As of July 2026, the Individual plan is $239.99 per year per computer and the Business plan is $479.99 per year per user. Students and teachers get an Educational tier at $49 per year. A 30 day trial of the paid features is available.
Can you install Google Play apps on Genymotion?
Virtual devices ship without Google services, which is normal for an emulator aimed at developers. Genymotion Desktop includes an Open GApps widget in the device toolbar that installs Google Play services and the Play Store onto a running device in a couple of clicks. After a reboot of the virtual device you can sign in and install apps normally.
Can I still download Genymotion 3.2.1 or another old version?
3.2.1 is a 2021 release and there is no good reason to run it today. The current 3.10.0 build supports the same free personal license and far newer Android images. If a specific project truly pins you to an old build, get it through your Genymotion account or Genymobile support, never from a third party mirror.
Verdict
Genymotion Desktop is the best Android emulator you can put on a PC for development and testing work: fast, scriptable, and honest about its licensing. The free personal edition is a real free tier, not crippleware. Gamers should look elsewhere, but if you write or test Android apps, download it from genymotion.com and skip everything else.
