What happened to WiseView
WiseView was Hanwha Techwin’s consumer app for Wisenet DVRs, NVRs and cameras, the ones sold in Samsung-branded and Wisenet home surveillance kits. Its last Android update landed in March 2020, and the Google Play listing was unpublished in September 2024. An iOS listing still shows on Apple’s App Store, but an app four-plus years without updates is not something to build your home security around. Crucially, the cameras and recorders themselves are fine; you just need current software to view them, and Hanwha provides it for free on the desktop.
The official way: Wisenet Viewer on Windows and Mac
Hanwha Vision publishes Wisenet Viewer, a free light video management program for Windows and macOS. It does what WiseView did and considerably more: multi-channel live view with custom layouts, search and playback of recordings and a proper desktop interface built for a big screen. This is the rare camera brand where the PC option is first-party, current and free, so there is no reason to touch an emulator or a random “WiseView.exe” site.

- Launch it and create the local admin password it asks for on first run.
