CamHi does not have one single official desktop program, but you can watch your cameras on a PC three ways: the HiP2P Client software that camera sellers ship for Windows, the official Android CamHi app running inside an emulator, or a direct RTSP stream opened in VLC. This guide walks through all three CamHi setup routes.

This is the part most guides get wrong, so let’s be precise. CamHi and CamHiPro are companion apps for IP cameras built on Hichip camera modules. The camera module maker’s own website only covers hardware and offers no software downloads at all. The only download source you can call fully official is the CamHi listing on Google Play, which has over 1 million installs.
For Windows, the companion program everyone uses is HiP2P Client, a free camera management tool that supports the same UID connection system as CamHi. There is no central vendor page for it. Instead, the camera brands that build on these modules distribute the HiP2P Client installer through their own support pages. Enster, for example, hosts the “CamHi Solution HiP2P Client” setup file in its official support section. Sites like camhi.pro and camhi.app that rank for this search are third-party pages, not the vendor, so treat any installer from them with caution.
If you want a proper desktop experience on your Windows laptop or desktop, HiP2P Client is the tool to use. It can display up to 16 camera streams in a single window, supports two-way audio on compatible cameras, and handles recording to your PC’s drive.
If you would rather use the exact same CamHi app you have on your phone, run it inside an Android emulator. This works on Windows 11 and Windows 10, and it is the practical route on a Mac. BlueStacks is the emulator we recommend for camera apps because its network handling is reliable.
One CamHi quirk worth knowing: the app does not use an account system. Cameras are tied to UIDs, so the same camera can be watched from your phone and the emulator at the same time without logging anything out.
Most cameras that use CamHi also expose a standard RTSP stream on the local network. If you only need to check the feed occasionally from your PC, open VLC, choose Media, then Open Network Stream, and enter the RTSP address from your camera’s manual (it typically includes the camera’s local IP address and login). This skips CamHi software entirely, though you lose alerts and pan-tilt controls.
CamHiPro is the newer app from the same publisher and also has over 1 million installs. Newer cameras usually recommend CamHiPro, older ones CamHi, and many cameras work in both. There is no official CamHiPro desktop app. Pages advertising one are either repackaging the HiP2P Client Windows software or walking you through an Android emulator install. Both routes are covered above, and neither requires downloading anything from unofficial “CamHiPro for PC” sites.
The HiP2P Client route is your best option on an older machine, since the lightweight Windows program runs on systems that current emulators no longer support. BlueStacks now requires Windows 10 or 11, so the emulator route is out on Windows 7.

YoWhatsApp is a third party rebuild of the official WhatsApp Android app. Someone takes the real app, decompiles it, injects extra features, and repackages it as a new APK. The pitch has always been the same: themes, hiding blue ticks, hiding your online status, an in-app lock, and sending messages to unsaved numbers. Versions have circulated for years under different builder names, which is why searches like “yo whatsapp 17.00 heymods” or “yowhatsapp download 2018” still float around. Each of those version numbers refers to a different unofficial build from a different source, and none of them is reviewed by anyone you can hold accountable.
That last part matters. Your WhatsApp account carries your identity, your private chats, and often payment features. A mod sits between you and WhatsApp’s servers and can read everything the real app can read.
YoWhatsApp violates WhatsApp’s Terms of Service, so it can never be listed on Google Play, and Google’s own malware scanning would flag a tampered WhatsApp binary anyway. That is why every download comes from random APK sites. There is no single official YoWhatsApp website: the top results for it are competing mirror sites that each claim to host the “latest anti-ban version”. When many sites claim to be official and none can prove it, the honest conclusion is that no official source exists.
Two risks are documented, not hypothetical.
1. WhatsApp bans accounts that use mods. Detection happens server side, where no APK patch can reach.
2. Malware in the APK files. Since mods live outside app stores, nobody scans what you download. Security researchers have repeatedly found trojanized builds of WhatsApp mods that harvest chats, session keys, and one time codes. Even if one build is clean today, the update you sideload next month comes from the same unaccountable pipeline. With a chat app, that pipeline has access to everything you type.
