Avast Driver Updater Review: Is It Worth Paying For?

Avast Driver Updater & Activation Key

Update from the ForPC editorial team: this page previously listed activation keys for Avast Driver Updater. We removed them. Using leaked or generated keys for paid software is illegal, often gets blocked within days, and key lists circulating online are a common way to spread malware. What follows instead is an honest review of whether this tool is worth paying for at all.

Short version of our Avast Driver Updater review: it is a legitimate tool that works as advertised and backs up drivers before changing them, but most Windows users do not need it. Windows Update plus the free tools from NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and your PC maker cover the same job at no cost.

What is Avast Driver Updater?

Avast Driver Updater is a paid Windows utility from Avast (now part of Gen Digital) that scans your PC for outdated device drivers and updates them automatically. It targets the usual suspects: graphics, audio, network and printer drivers. It is sold as a subscription; current pricing is listed on avast.com.

What it does well

  • Simple one-click scanning that non-technical users can follow
  • Creates driver backups before updating, so you can roll back if something breaks
  • Pulls drivers from a large database and installs them one at a time to reduce conflicts

The honest problem: most people do not need it

Windows 10 and 11 already install and update drivers through Windows Update, and the drivers that actually matter for performance come free from the hardware makers themselves:

  • Graphics: NVIDIA, AMD and Intel each provide free tools that keep GPU drivers current
  • Chipset and laptop drivers: your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s support page provides them at no cost
  • Everything else: Windows Update handles it silently

A paid driver updater mainly buys convenience: one dashboard instead of two or three vendor tools. If your PC works fine, updating drivers for the sake of it can even introduce new problems. It is the same pattern we describe for cleaner apps in our Clean Master for PC guide: utilities selling maintenance that Windows mostly handles on its own.

Who might actually want it

  • Someone maintaining an older PC with obscure hardware whose vendor tools no longer exist
  • Users who want driver backups and one-at-a-time installs without doing it manually
  • People who already pay for an Avast bundle that includes it, where it costs nothing extra

Is there a legitimate free option?

Avast offers a trial version that scans and shows what is outdated, but updating through it requires a paid subscription. The legitimate free path is the one described above: Windows Update plus your hardware vendors’ own tools. There is no legal way to unlock the full product for free, and we do not recommend looking for one.

Frequently asked questions

Is Avast Driver Updater safe?

Yes, the product itself is from a legitimate company and creates backups before changing drivers. Key generators and activation key lists for it are not safe and frequently carry malware.

Does it speed up your PC?

Only in specific cases, such as an outdated GPU driver holding back games. It is not a general performance booster.

What happens when a key from a key list is used?

It usually activates briefly and then gets blocklisted, and accounts associated with abuse can be banned. You also take on real malware risk from the sites distributing those lists.

What is the most trusted driver updater?

The most trustworthy sources are the hardware makers themselves: NVIDIA, AMD and Intel apps for graphics drivers, your PC or motherboard maker’s support tool for the rest, and Windows Update for everything else. Among paid one-dashboard tools, Avast Driver Updater and IObit Driver Booster are the most established names, but no third-party updater is more trustworthy than the vendor’s own driver.

What is the difference between Avast Driver Updater and AVG Driver Updater?

Mostly branding. Avast has owned AVG since 2016, and both brands now sit under the same parent company, Gen Digital, so the two driver updaters offer near identical features and interfaces at similar prices. If you already pay for one company’s security bundle, check whether it includes the driver updater before buying either one separately.

Our verdict

Avast Driver Updater is a competent convenience tool, not a necessity. If you want hands-off driver maintenance with backups and are happy to pay for it, it does the job. Most users are better served by Windows Update and their hardware makers’ free tools. Either way, activate software legitimately: it is the only option that is legal, safe and permanent. VidMix for PC: Download Status and What to Use Instead (2026)

VidMix for PC: there is no official way to download the original VidMix app for PC in 2026. The video downloader was removed from Google Play years ago, its old website no longer distributes it, and the copies on APK sites are a build that has not changed in roughly five years. Newer apps called VidMix on official stores are different products from different developers.

vidmix app for pc

Name VidMix (original Android video downloader)
Category Video streaming and downloading
Current status Not on Google Play, no official download source
Last known version v2.21, the same build circulating since early 2021
Last verified August 2026

What VidMix was

VidMix was a free Android app from the same wave as VideoBuddy: one part streaming hub, one part downloader. You could browse movies and series inside the app, paste links from sites like YouTube, Instagram, and Dailymotion to save videos locally, and even earn small coin rewards for watching and inviting friends. Because it was an Android app, people ran it on Windows and Mac through an Android emulator, which is why searches for VidMix for PC were popular for years.

Where VidMix stands in 2026

The honest status, checked in August 2026:

  • Not on Google Play. Downloader apps that pull videos from YouTube violate Play policies, so VidMix, like VidMate and TubeMate, was never going to live there long term. The original app has no Play listing today.
  • No official website build. The vidmix.app domain now hosts an unrelated online video editor. There is no official download page for the old downloader app.
  • Abandoned code. Third party APK catalogs still list VidMix at version 2.21, the same version number this page recorded back in 2021. Five years without an update means no security fixes and, for an app that depends on its own servers, sources that increasingly fail to load.
  • The name has been recycled. The Vidmix you will find on Google Play today is an AI video and portrait maker from a different developer, and the VidMix Video Editor in the Microsoft Store is a separate editing tool. Neither is the downloader people are searching for, so do not pay for or install them expecting VidMix’s old features.

Why we do not link VidMix APK files

We only link official sources, and VidMix no longer has one. APK mirrors hosting a five year old, unsigned build are a real risk: repacked installers with injected ads or worse are common for exactly this kind of orphaned app. On top of the safety problem, downloading videos from YouTube and similar platforms outside their own apps is against those platforms’ terms of service. A guide that pretends VidMix is alive and hands you a mirror link is not doing you a favor.

What to use instead on a PC

Depending on what you actually used VidMix for:

  • Offline viewing: YouTube Premium includes official downloads inside the YouTube app, and most major streaming services offer offline saves in their own apps. This is the only route that does not fight the platforms’ terms.
  • Watching mobile apps on a big screen: install BlueStacks and use apps straight from the Play Store inside it. That covers the streaming half of what VidMix did, with none of the sideloading risk.
  • Curious about VidMix’s siblings: our VidMate for PC and TubeMate for PC guides cover the two best known downloader apps and their current state.
  • Just want good ways to stream on a computer: the video streaming apps for PC hub lists services that actually work on Windows and macOS today.

Frequently asked questions

Is VidMix still working in 2026?

The app has not been updated in about five years and has no official distribution. Old copies may still open, but users report server and source failures, which is expected for an abandoned app that relied on its own backend. Treat it as discontinued.

Is there a VidMix app for Windows 10 or Windows 11?

There was never an official VidMix desktop app. The VidMix Video Editor listed in the Microsoft Store is a different product from a different developer that happens to share the name. If you install it expecting a movie downloader, you will be disappointed.

Is it safe to download the VidMix APK from mirror sites?

We advise against it. There is no official source to compare files against, the build is years old, and repacked APKs of dead apps are a common malware channel. Nothing the old app offered is worth that trade.

What is the best VidMix alternative?

For legal offline downloads, YouTube Premium and the download features inside each streaming service’s own app. For running Android streaming apps on a PC, BlueStacks with official Play Store apps is the clean setup.

Verdict: VidMix had its moment, but in 2026 it is an abandoned app with no official download, and the safe answer to VidMix for PC is to use official apps instead. If a site offers you a fresh VidMix APK for Windows, it is selling you something VidMix’s own developers stopped shipping years ago.

OkCredit App Download & Install on PC (Windows & macOS)

You do not need an emulator to use OkCredit on a PC. OkCredit runs an official web app, Merchant Web, at web.okcredit.in: open it in any browser, sign in with the mobile number registered to your OkCredit account, and your ledgers are available on the big screen. It works on Windows 7, 10, and 11.

App name OkCredit: Ledger, UPI, Billing
Developer OkCredit (okcredit.com)
Category Business, digital ledger (bahi khata)
Works on Any browser via web.okcredit.in; Windows 10 and 11 via emulator
Official source web.okcredit.in, Google Play
Last verified August 2026

The official way to get OkCredit on PC: Merchant Web

OkCredit is the digital bahi khata app millions of Indian shopkeepers use to track udhar, and the company itself solved the PC question. Merchant Web at web.okcredit.in is OkCredit’s own browser version, so there is nothing to download, no APK, and no emulator involved.

  1. Open web.okcredit.in in Chrome, Edge, or any current browser on your computer.
  2. Sign in with the mobile number you use in the OkCredit app, and confirm the login on your phone when prompted.
  3. Your customer khata opens in the browser, synced with the same account the phone app uses.

For a shopkeeper this is the setup that actually makes sense: entries are faster with a full keyboard, the ledger is easier to read on a monitor, and whatever you record at the counter on your phone stays in sync because both sides use one OkCredit account.

Open OkCredit Merchant Web (official)

OkCredit app download for PC Windows 7

A lot of shop computers still run Windows 7, and this is where the web app quietly wins. Modern emulators want Windows 10 or 11 and decent hardware, but web.okcredit.in loads in a normal browser on an old Windows 7 machine without any install. If your billing counter PC is an aging one, skip the emulator idea entirely and bookmark Merchant Web instead.

Install OkCredit on Windows with an emulator

If you specifically want the full Android app on your PC, for example for the UPI and billing features as they appear on the phone, an emulator on Windows 10 or 11 works.

  1. Install BlueStacks; our BlueStacks for PC guide walks through it.
  2. Sign into the Play Store inside BlueStacks with a Google account.
  3. Install OkCredit: Ledger, UPI, Billing from its official Play listing (developer link points to okcredit.com).
  4. Log in with your registered mobile number; the OTP comes to your phone by SMS, so keep it nearby.
  5. OkCredit is a portrait app, so use the portrait window preset in BlueStacks for a phone-like layout.

One honest caveat: for pure ledger work, the browser version is quicker to reach and lighter on the machine than an emulator. The emulator route earns its keep only if you want the complete app experience on the desktop.

No OkCredit APK for PC, and you do not need one

Windows cannot run APK files on its own, so an “OkCredit APK download for PC” is not a real thing; APKs only work inside Android or an emulator. Since OkCredit gives you an official web app plus an official Play listing, there is no reason to download the app from any third party site. Stick to web.okcredit.in and Google Play and every update comes from OkCredit itself.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download OkCredit for PC Windows 10?

You do not have to download anything on Windows 10: open web.okcredit.in in your browser and sign in with your registered mobile number. If you prefer the Android app itself, install BlueStacks and add OkCredit from Google Play inside it.

Does OkCredit work on Windows 7?

Yes, through the browser. Merchant Web at web.okcredit.in runs in any current browser, including on older Windows 7 machines where emulators struggle or refuse to install.

Is OkCredit free to use?

The OkCredit app is free to download and use for daily khata entries. You sign in with a mobile number, and the same free account works in the phone app and the web version.

Is there a bahi khata app that works on PC?

OkCredit is one of the few digital bahi khata apps with an official PC option, because Merchant Web runs in the browser. That makes it a practical pick if you keep your udhar ledger at a computer instead of on a phone.

Verdict

OkCredit on PC is a solved problem: use the official Merchant Web app at web.okcredit.in and keep the phone app for the counter. The emulator route works but is the long way around for a ledger. iSmartViewPro for PC: 2026 Status and What to Use Instead

Honest answer first: iSmartViewPro looks abandoned in 2026. The Android app has been removed from Google Play, and Sricam’s official download center now only offers the newer SriHome app for its cameras. There is no official iSmartViewPro Windows download anymore, so a PC setup today means the SriHome app in an emulator or an RTSP stream in VLC.

App name iSmartViewPro
Developer Sricam (Shenzhen)
Status Removed from Google Play; superseded by SriHome
Official source sricam.com download center (SriHome app only)
Last verified July 2026

What happened to iSmartViewPro

iSmartViewPro was the companion app for Sricam IP cameras, and for years it also had a desktop build that shipped on the Sricam site. Both are gone from official channels. The Play Store listing returns a not found error, and the download center at sricam.com currently lists product manuals plus the SriHome app for iOS and Android, nothing else. The iSmartViewPro installers still floating around are on third party mirror sites, which we do not link and do not recommend: you cannot verify what is inside an orphaned installer.

The official route in 2026: SriHome

Sricam’s active app is SriHome, and the official place to get it is the vendor’s own download center. If your camera is a Sricam model, try adding it to SriHome first; the newer app covers the current hardware range. Note that no Windows client is listed there either at the time of writing, so the desktop story for Sricam owners is the emulator route below.

Sricam Download Center (official site)

Run the app on Windows with an emulator

  1. Install BlueStacks using our BlueStacks for PC guide.
  2. Install SriHome from the Play Store inside the emulator and sign in or register.
  3. Add the camera with its device ID rather than the QR scanner, which behaves badly through a virtual webcam.
  4. If your older camera is not accepted by SriHome and only ever worked with iSmartViewPro, an existing phone install is worth keeping alive while you plan a replacement.

One security note while you are in transition: a camera whose app was abandoned is also a camera whose firmware stopped getting patches years ago. Keep it off port forwarding, give it a strong local password if the settings allow one, and put it on a guest network if your router supports that. None of this fixes an unmaintained device, but it limits the blast radius while it is still in service.

The VLC fallback for older Sricam cameras

Some iSmartViewPro era models expose an RTSP stream, and community camera databases such as iSpyConnect document working URL patterns for several Sricam models. If yours is among them, VLC or any NVR software on Windows can pull the stream directly, no emulator and no vendor app involved. Be aware that plenty of the cheapest units were P2P only, so test before you build a setup around it: open VLC, choose Open Network Stream, and try the RTSP address listed for your exact model on port 554.

Frequently asked questions

Is iSmartViewPro still available?

Not from official sources. The Google Play listing is gone and Sricam no longer offers the app or its PC client on its download center. Only unofficial mirrors remain, and installing an unmaintained camera app from a mirror is a security risk on both counts.

What replaced iSmartViewPro?

SriHome is Sricam’s current app for iOS and Android, distributed through the official sricam.com download center. It is the supported path for current Sricam hardware.

How do I view my Sricam camera on a PC now?

Either run SriHome inside an Android emulator, or bypass apps entirely with RTSP in VLC if your model supports it. For a camera that supports neither, the realistic answer is replacing it with hardware that has a proper desktop client.

Verdict

Do not build anything new on iSmartViewPro. Use SriHome if your camera accepts it, test the RTSP fallback if not, and if you are shopping for a replacement, start with brands that still publish desktop software. Our CCTV camera app for PC hub has the brand by brand table, and the IP Pro / EseeCloud guide shows what a properly maintained ecosystem looks like.
