Common problems and fixes

Login works on the phone but fails on the PC client: you are usually on an ancient 2.x build, so install the current version from the official page and try again. Device shows offline on PC while the app sees it: the client caches the device list, so remove and re-add the recorder by cloud ID. Danale is a Shenzhen based P2P and cloud video platform whose technology shipped inside a lot of budget Wi-Fi cameras. Brands like Victure and Jooan sold cameras that ran on Danale’s cloud, either through the Danale app itself or a rebranded version of it. That is why so many people who never bought anything called “Danale” end up searching for this app.

Here is the honest status as of July 2026. The company’s main website, danale.com, does not load anymore. The Danale Cam app is still listed on Google Play, but it has not received an update since June 2024, and recent reviews are heavy on login failures and cameras showing offline. We found no official shutdown announcement, but a dead website plus a two year old app is not a platform to depend on for home security. Plan your setup assuming Danale’s cloud can degrade further.

Is there a Danale app for PC?

Not an official one. Danale never published a Windows or Mac client on its own channels; the only official downloads have been the mobile apps. Install Danale on Windows with an emulator

If your camera still connects through Danale’s cloud, you can run the official Android app on a Windows 10 or 11 laptop or desktop through an emulator.

1. Install BlueStacks and sign in to the Play Store.
2. Search for “Danale Cam” and check the developer name reads Danale Inc. before installing.
3. Log in with the account you created on your phone. Your added cameras should appear; adding a new camera is easier on the phone first, since setup uses the phone’s Wi-Fi and QR steps.
4. Open a camera for live view. If streams load on your phone but not in the emulator, the app itself is fine and the problem is the emulator’s network mode, so switch it between shared and bridged mode and retry.

One caveat: if login fails or the app reports errors like “device id does not exist”, that is almost always Danale’s cloud side, not your PC. No emulator setting fixes a server problem.

Better routes: RTSP in VLC or your camera brand’s own app

Given Danale’s condition, treat these as the real long term answers.

Check your camera brand’s own app first. Many cameras that shipped with Danale inside also have a brand app (Victure Home is one example), and some brands migrated users off Danale’s cloud entirely. Try RTSP in VLC. If your camera exposes an RTSP stream, you can watch it on any PC with no cloud at all: find the camera’s IP address in your router’s client list, look up the RTSP path for your model in its manual, then open a network stream in VLC in the form rtsp://user:password@camera-ip:554/path. The catch is that many Danale platform budget cameras are cloud only and expose no RTSP, in which case this route is closed.

If neither works, replace rather than patch. A camera tied to an unmaintained cloud is a dead end. There is no official Danale download for any version of Windows. On Windows 10 or 11 the workable route is the Android app in an emulator. On an older Windows 7 machine emulators run poorly, so RTSP in VLC is the better attempt if your camera supports it.

Why does Danale say my device ID does not exist or my camera is offline?

If the camera has power and internet, these errors usually come from Danale’s cloud rejecting or losing the device registration. Try removing and re-adding the camera from the phone app once.
